Introduction

Since september 1st 2011, I am research scientist at CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Reasearch). I am working at the University of Reims (East of France).

I am involved in several reasearch projects focussing on Titan and the surface properties of icy satellites like Europa. I have been particularly interested in the study of hydrocarbon seas of Titan, which are the unique example of known extraterrestrial marine environment.

Just below, the sea Ligeia Mare located in the north polar region of Titan; this is a composite RADAR image built from Cassini radar instrument data. Small snapshots on the left represent a sequence of images showing a mysterious transient surface event nicknamed Magic Islands, a possible interpretation has been proposed in Cordier et al. (2017) (see list of papers below).
